Lisianthus Starts Round Two

$26.00
sold out

These are our extra lisianthus “plugs” (think little flower starts) that we are selling. They will be available the second week of April. Late in the week we think.. We plant our lisianthus several weeks BEFORE our last frost as they like that cool start so this timeframe works here in themidwest and other areas..

They are very easy to grow. Generally animals will not bother them. (I’m looking at you rabbits! )

Selling lots of 20 for 26.00 and these are the long stemmed varieties farmers grow and florists use.. NOT the short stemmed varieties... Each stem will have multiple blooms and they look great in the vase as in the garden. This is the longest lasting cut flower we grow and often last 10 plus days in the vase.

Lisianthus fall into “groups” and that determines their bloom time. Group 1 is early, Group 2 after that and Group 3 late summer. So keep that in mind if you are growing for a specific event or date. If you decide to pick your flowers this summer you will likely get another “flush” of flowers in the fall. (all depends on your location and season longevity.) In Iowa we would do this with our group 1 or 2. lisianthus. But honestly they all keep pumping out blooms till early fall. They are very easy to grow in mostly full sun. Some varieties benefit from having some support. They will have a little planting/care sheet with them.

Here is the order of the pictures: Rosanne 1 Black Pearl, ABC 1 Rose Rim, Corelli Sugoi 3 light Pink, Corelli Sugoi 3 Yellow, Croma 3 Red, Rosanne 2 Green.

These will be small plugs and local pick up in Des moines, IA or buyer payes shipping if you are not in Central Iowa.. We will contact you at time of shipping and collect for shipping before your order is sent. Free shipping on orders over 150.00. Tax is added at checkout.
